ひがし ちか

1981年長崎県生。2010年〜2022年、傘屋Coci la elleを主宰。現在は画業を軸にさまざまな活動を試みている。著書に「３着の日記」「かさ」「傘の素」「コシラエルとはなんだったのか」がある。La maison des couleursとは会社名。仏語で色の家という意。社員はおらず1人で運営中。八ヶ岳の山麓標高1180Mにスタジオと住まいがあり、夫、子供３人と動物、日本蜜蜂と暮らしている。

Chika Higashi

I was born in 1981 in Nagasaki Prefecture, western Japan. From 2010 to 2022, I ran the company Coci la elle, which offered unique handmade and painted umbrellas and many other textile products.I draw a wide range of images for book covers, packaging, textile designs, illustrations and other visuals. Using techniques such as collage, I produce work after work with a particular sense of color, transforming my creations into everyday objects. My residence and studio are located at the foot of Yatsugatake Mountain at an altitude of 1180m.
